You may have seen it at Gen Con, but here is the marginalia on one of our upcoming games: Inkwell. This one is a collaboration between quite a few designers (especially featuring Lewis Graye and Joey Palluconi) to create a smooth, accessible drafting experience for 1 to 5 players.
When playing Inkwell, you will be a monk working on the pages of manuscripts under the watchful eye of your boss, the Abbot. You will select 'inkwells' of supplies, usually a mix of cubes and sometimes a Technique card, to add to your current page. Fill up spaces to complete illustrations, and aim for certain colors to gain point multipliers. Select your limited Techniques carefully to support your choices and work efficiently, as there are rewards for moving faster than your opponents. Start a new page at any time, scoring however much you completed before and refreshing space for Techniques and cubes alike. Just be careful how the supplies run out, for if the Abbot must refill the inkwells, the timer ont he game will run short, and he will start to force players to score before they are ready to do so.
The game plays in about 35 minutes and is intended for ages 10 and up. The game is expected to be released during Q1 2026, with a pre-order discount available until release day.
