We Have Seen The Beast (Digital Download)

Once upon a time, one of used to do work in a local cafe. On certain days, a society of five people who studied local cryptids would meet and chat about what they thought was happening locally. How each piece of evidence, each sighting, each story fit together. They were dedicated to their work. It was never particularly convincing, but it was fascinating.

This is an experiment in reenacting that feeling, by way of re-adapting the classic surrealist drawing game Exquisite Corpse.

As players, without a particular thought to winning or losing, you become that very club presented with mixed bits of information. You are not allowed to blame it on ordinary means, and will instead use the prompts to add to drawings piece-by-piece to build up an image of the creature you believe to be real. Critically, after each piece of evidence is drawn, you will pass the drawing you are working on to the next player, with each of you collaborating and riffing on these works in asymmetrical ways until you come to present your findings, and vote for which one should be made public as the result of your research.
